Conference Venues in Pretoria
4-Star Conference Venues near Pretoria
A commonplace description of typical South African lifestyle conditions is bound to include sunny skies, hot summers and mild winters, an intrinsic love of the outdoors and sports, immense and diverse natural beauty, and an industrious hard-working population consisting of a mix of cultures.
That, in a nutshell, describes a fair proportion of typical South Africans living, working, and playing in today’s RSA. Many cultural origins can also be detected in the architectural styles of South African buildings, both those that have heritage or National Monument status, and others that emulate the architecture of the days of yore.
This historically linked cultural characteristic applies virtually across the board. It’s seen in the artistic, brightly painted geometric patterns painted on the walls of traditional Ndebele village buildings, the early farm homesteads that feature broad, roofed verandas on their north and west facing aspects, and the gorgeous white-washed, gracious Cape Dutch homes and public buildings.
Conferencing between Pretoria and Johannesburg
As befits a modern boutique hotel with a collection of conference venues of distinction, conveniently located between two major Gauteng cities – Pretoria and Johannesburg, which also have rich cultural histories, the buildings at Kleinkaap reflect the history and architectural style of Kleinkaap’s estate, plus the best of beautifully renovated and carefully replicated Cape Dutch architecture.
More than 100 years of history is contained within the original manor house, which was restored and served to inspire the design of the adjoining buildings and rooms which we subsequently added – the latest being our fine-dining restaurant, the stylish 16th Lintel.
In addition to 34 spacious, en-suite guest accommodation rooms, tastefully furnished to complement our Cape Dutch architecture, Kleinkaap Boutique Hotel offers five modern, elegant conference venues designed for upmarket convenience and comfort that allows delegates to focus on the conference proceedings. Our venues carry authentic and typical old Cape names in the old Dutch language. These are:
- Vergenoeg (Far Enough)
- Goedehoop (Good Hope)
- Simonsig (Simon’s Sight or View)
- Buitenverwagting (Beyond [or Exceptional] Expectation)
- Rust-en-Vrede (Rest and Peace)
As mentioned, the 16th Lintel restaurant at Kleinkaap Boutique Hotel is our most recent addition to this 4-star conference, event, and wedding venue. The 16th Lintel is so named because 15 lintels had been used to support the weight bearing wall and roof structures above doorways in the rest of the Kleinkaap buildings. Another, the 16th, lintel was required for the welcoming entrance to the new space, the restaurant, which had yet to be named. The 16th Lintel was the obvious, most-appropriate choice.
As part of our conference venue packages, a delicious chef’s-choice 2-course lunch is served to delegates. However, the 16th Lintel is fast becoming one of Pretoria’s popular, most-preferred fine-dining restaurants, especially for our dinners.
Our specially designed menus offer excellent choices and variety for diners, without attempting to include every dish ever invented by a chef. Instead, we focus on delicious dishes, top-quality, fresh ingredients, picture-perfect plating, and superb service in a sensational Cape Dutch setting, not far from Pretoria.
