An A+ for Accommodation Near Pretoria
As a big city and one of South Africa’s capitals, Pretoria is home to many accommodation establishments – some of them exclusive and star graded, and a few others that have no claim to a single star other than those in the wide African night sky. Accommodation is offered by guest houses, short-term apartments, hotels, lodges (on the outskirts of and in the areas surrounding Pretoria), boutique hotels, residential hotels, and B&Bs.
Furthermore, Pretoria is also home to numerous corporate businesses, embassies and consulates, tertiary educational institutes of higher learning, academia, military force headquarters, research facilities like the CSIR, and residents from right across the world. Modern Pretoria has gained an international flavour and continues to grow and expand in all directions.
A Demand for World-Class Accommodation
It, therefore, comes as no surprise that the demand for world-class accommodation for visitors, travellers, business people, and tourists has also increased exponentially. Consequently, if it’s world-class accommodation that you want, you’ll find just that, and more, at Kleinkaap Boutique Hotel in Centurion, not far from Pretoria.
The mistaken impression that Centurion is a suburb of Pretoria still exists in certain quarters that haven’t kept up to date with the developments in the general Pretoria area. The sequence of events and changes in Centurion are as follows: the town we know as Centurion was once farmland, then a suburb of Pretoria, known as Lyttelton, changing its name to Verwoerdburg in 1967, and thereafter, in 1995, to a new status with a new name – a town that is separate and distinct from Pretoria, and known by its current name, Centurion.
The Cape Dutch Homestead
Kleinkaap’s Cape Dutch main building was originally built as the homestead on a farm some 100-plus years ago. The cheerful chirruping and birdsong from the tree-lined streets and lovely gardens at Kleinkaap and the surrounding properties in peaceful, leafy Centurion evoke an aspect of those long-ago times.
Restoration and Additions
We restored the home to its former Cape Dutch grandeur and kept to this iconic architectural style when extensions were made to the property – a 4-star, fine-dining restaurant, the 16th Lintel, plus five conference venues and 34 spacious, luxurious guest accommodation suites with spacious bathrooms, fitted and decorated to complement the distinctive style of that bygone era.
Kleinkaap Boutique Hotel has four stars – as one may expect from an exclusive boutique establishment that typically offers fewer than 100 individually designed and furnished, unique guest accommodation rooms. Some of our accommodation features are:
- A choice of twin beds or a king-sized extra-length bed with soft, snuggly duck down duvets and luxuriously plump pillows.
- A deep bath, plus a separate shower in the bathroom.
- Soundproofed rooms that have air conditioning, electronic safes, complimentary Wi-Fi, selected DStv channels for flat-screen television set, universal power points, hair dryers, mini bar fridges, and tea/coffee-making facilities.
The list of 4-star accommodation amenities and facilities goes on. We’re proud of the accommodation we offer to our guests, who are typically discerning visitors to and from the Jacaranda City. we invite you to book your accommodation with us in Centurion when next you find yourself seeking world-class accommodation.
