Centurion’s Unique Cape-Styled Accommodation
People from other areas, who come to Centurion and book their accommodation at Kleinkaap Boutique Hotel in Clubview (a suburb of Centurion), may be forgiven for thinking that they’ve somehow just arrived at an exquisite homestead on an estate somewhere in the heart of South Africa’s famous Cape winelands.
Indeed, you have arrived on the doorstep of the original homestead that was built in 1920 in a style which replicates that of an affluent Cape Dutch home, like those so typical of the fairest Cape’s most distinctive and popular architectural heritage – designs that are still evident in and around Cape Town to this day.
We took great care to echo the same authentic style when we restored, upgraded and extended the premises at Kleinkaap. Visually, visitors find it almost impossible to differentiate between the old and the new, exactly as we intended.
Our name, Kleinkaap, literally means “little Cape”, but there’s nothing diminutive about our Kleinkaap, although it is a boutique establishment and therefore considerably smaller than the premises of large hotels that belong to hospitality chains.
In accordance with the required criteria that apply to boutique hotels, room numbers, likewise guest numbers, are limited, usually between about 10 – considerably fewer than 100 in the latter instance. At Kleinkaap, we accommodate our guests in 34 luxurious suites, each one individually furnished and decorated, and all retaining the essence of yesteryear’s Cape grace, elegance and ambience.
Gleaming wooden floors with scattered Persian-style rugs offset wood furniture and the detailed workmanship of wood framed mirrors, windows and doors, contrasting with crisply laundered white bedlinen and snuggly duck-down duvets.
Our sound-proofed suites are furnished with a king sized or set of twin sized beds, a 42-inch LED television set, tea/coffee making facilities, an electronic safe (big enough to accommodate a laptop), a desk with desk lighting, stationery, a mini bar fridge and magazines.
Deep and pristine white, claw-foot slipper bathtubs remind one just how luxurious bath time is meant to be; showers are separate, and a plush, soft bathrobe awaits you when you step out of either. For your comfort, in-room air conditioning is individually controlled.
By their very nature, boutique hotels offer superior features and standards in every aspect of their operation. Kleinkaap Boutique Hotel was voted into the 17th position of the Best in the Top 25 Hotels in South Africa in the 2016 TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards, and is graded by the TGCSA as a 4-star establishment.
Our guest ratings are heart-warming – 9.1 for excellence. Whether your presence is required in Johannesburg or Pretoria, Centurion is the ideal area in which to find accommodation, and Kleinkaap Boutique Hotel offers you excellent outstanding accommodation – a little piece of the Cape and a lot more besides.
