Home-Away-from-Home 4-Star Luxury Accommodation in Centurion
It’s interesting to observe that Centurion was once a suburb of Pretoria, but nowadays, Centurion has suburbs of its own, one of which is Clubview, a lovely leafy, neighbourhood that’s filled with birdsong and a relaxed, unflustered serenity. It is also the perfect place for a distinctive boutique hotel that offers gracious accommodation to its guests.
The Evolution of Our 4-Star Accommodation
Kleinkaap Boutique Hotel has also undergone significant changes since our earliest days as the manor house on our estate. It was the personal homestead of the original owner, who had his home built in the iconic Cape Dutch style, reflecting the earliest permanent European dwellings in the erstwhile Cape of Good Hope, as from the latter part of the 17th century.
Like all Cape Dutch buildings, Kleinkaap’s main building (yesteryear’s beautifully restored manor house) is dominated by a Cape Dutch gable that lends a presence, substance, and an air of grandeur to the property. Around the buildings, paved areas are offset by low white garden walls that delineate these.
Once it was decided to transform Kleinkaap into the boutique hotel of today, more buildings that house additional guest accommodation, conference, function, event, and wedding venues were added, carefully emulating the traditional style of the original building.
The 16th Lintel Restaurant was our last and most recent addition, so named because the lintel over the restaurant’s entrance was the 16th of such a support structure to be incorporated in the buildings that had until then, featured a total of 15 lintels.
Guest Accommodation Suites
Although relatively newly built, our 34 luxurious guest accommodation suites at Kleinkaap Boutique Hotel combine seamlessly with the original home, and its distinctive style and features. Suites were individually designed; each room is likewise individually laid out and furnished, adding to the home-away-from-home atmosphere of Kleinkaap.
From the gleaming, polished floors to the wooden frames of the cottage-paned windows, Cape Dutch furniture, and extra deep Victorian claw foot bathtubs in each spacious en-suite bathroom, every element of our guest accommodation facilities reflects the essence of distinguished living standards and taste.
Each feature evokes the grand style of a long-ago time, and the luxury and comfort expected by 4-star boutique hotel guests in the 21st century – a perfect combination of the best that two distinctively different eras have to offer.
